Surgical scar pain | restriction
Surgical scars often affect mobility and everyday function.
Pelvic floor physical therapists can perform manual therapy techniques on both recent and older scars to reduce pain and restore optimal tissue mobility. We also educate patients in performing scar mobilization self-treatment at home.
Patient education can be performed preoperatively; post-operative treatment can begin as soon as 6 weeks per physician authorization.
